What began as a casual effort to understand
why racecars go round in circles wasting
fuel became a lifetime’s passion for this
man from Hyderabad. A commerce graduate and
an MBA in Marketing Management, Vijay quit
his budding, boring career as an Account
Executive with an advertising agency in Bangalore
and dabbled in entrepreneurship.
A couple of failed ventures later, he
decided to get back into advertising, but
this time as a writer. Since then, he has
pursued his passion for automobiles and
racing by working as Delhi Correspondent
for Indian Auto, reviewing bikes, cars
and F1. Sensing a need for a single source
for all information on Formula One racing,
Vijay teamed up with schoolmate Krishna
(Head of a software company) to develop

He did it all when being a college dropout wasn’t fashionable. From a humble
beginning as a hardware reseller, Krishna went on to establish two successful
software development companies (Georapid India and Sirez Infosystems).
Formula One never really interested him. But the prospect of building
India’s first such web site with a highly complex database spanning over
50 years was something. So he took the bull by the horns and put his
best team of programmers and designers to work.
Ask him how much of F1 he has picked up over the past four years and
he’ll tell you without batting an eyelid: “the red ones are Ferrari!”
